We recently stayed at a lodge for my son's 1st birthday, and we chose Bowman Lodge. The room was incredibly spacious and clean, which was a pleasant surprise. It was conveniently located, less than a ten-minute drive to a popular attraction, Chester Zoo, and just a 15-minute drive to Cheshire Oaks. We didn't have to worry about finding food options either, as there were plenty of restaurants right across the road. The host was friendly and welcoming, making us feel like valued guests rather than just customers. The lodge also provided helpful leaflets on various places to visit in Chester and around Cheshire, which we found useful.
Liked everything! 😊

A pleasant surprise!
I was a bit skeptical about the appearance of the rooms based on the photos, but upon arrival at Bowman Lodge, I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were much nicer in person, clean, and quite spacious for my whole family. We had a comfortable double bed, two singles, and even room for the baby's cot. The breakfast served by the friendly owners was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Although my parents faced some traffic noise in their room, ours was peaceful. Despite a few minor flaws like a crack in the mirror frame and a lumpy bed, the Lodge offered a decent budget option for our stay. With its prime location, clean rooms, and warm hospitality, I would recommend Bowman Lodge for an affordable stay in Chester. I had a very nice experience and would choose it again.

The hotel is conveniently located, allowing guests to easily walk to nearby attractions such as Chester Zoo and the city center. The family rooms are clean and comfortable, with en-suite areas. The cooked breakfast is delicious, with a good selection to choose from.
The locks on the bedroom and bathroom doors are old and difficult to operate.
